Another great addition to our series, a taco bowl make with ramen noodles! What a twist on taco Tuesday. No doubt everyone in your family will love this, even if your children are picky eaters. Besides that just like tacos everyone has the choice of what to add or not to their liking. Also what meat to include be it, beef, chicken, shrimp or all vegan with black or pinto beans.
So with all these variations in mind, below is a “outline” on how to prepare it. Have fun with it! More importantly do not forget to pour yourself a glass of wine!! Every meal is better with wine, especially the More than Muse a wonderful Rose!!
Ramen Taco bowl ingredients
- 2 packages taco seasoning mix (1oz)
- 2 packages ramen noodles
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 2 (9 oz) packages refrigerated cooked chicken breast, diced
- 1 cup corn
- 2 tablespoon sliced black olives
- 1/2 cup of Mexican blend cheese or shredded Cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- Sour cream for garnish and taste
- 4 cups shredded lettuce
Directions
- In a pot of boiling water, add half the taco seasoning and ramen noodles. Cook about 3-5 minutes or until noodles are soft, stirring occasionally.
- Drain the noodles well in a colander.
- Evenly divide into two bowls.
- In a small bowl, toss the cooked chicken and remaining taco seasoning until evenly coated. Mix the chicken into the ramen noodles.
- Layer with the remaining ingredients and serve.
Of course as I stated above there are so many variations you can make to your taco bowl made with ramen noodles. So change things up to suit it to your liking and tastes!
