Obviously when I received my latest delivery of wine from Napa, I was a little surprised by one of the bottles label. No doubt about it “More than Muse” sounded a little mysterious. Along with creating anticipation on how this was going to taste!! Unquestionably I knew it would be excellent as I have always received exquisite and delicious wines. But More than Muse Rosé was a mystery to be solved!! How intriguing!!
According to which dictionary you refer to for the definition of “muse”. For sure you will find one that will coincide to what you think it may be!! Of course if ancient greek mythology and history is your thing, you definitely know who the Nine Greek Muses were or are? (Do mythology legends ever die?)
More Than Muse Rosé, More Than Wine!!
So after gleefully unwrapping the four bottles of fine wine I receive each and every month. Clearly I thought a little digging on “Muses” was in order to get some background information. Granted this took true patience because I knew this had to be special wine to garner such a label!!
In this situation with Carly Simon’s song “Anticipation” humming through my head I kept to task!! LOL Hey we all need a little inspiration!! But I think the label was giving me a hint, so I will share that in a bit!!
What Muse does this Label represent?
Ordinarily I enjoy doing some research about the fine wines I receive. But this is presenting me with a challenge. Maybe I am putting too much emphasis on the “Blonde” lady on the label. It’s not like I can get photographs of the Muses, just admire some beautiful paintings. And they of course are how the artist “minds eye” viewed them. Hmmm maybe I should uncork the bottle and let it breath. Oh that’s right I do not have to do that with a rosé , darn thought an aromatic whiff might “inspire”. Oh the heck with it maybe just half a glass. BRB!!
